Have you changed the fluid in the CVT?
If not, you should, lifetime fill is not really lifetime.

I don't run my MC that hard, knowing that the CVT can go at any time and that fixing them is costly. I've tracked my car and it has gone to the Dragon several times, but normally I just drive it at highway speeds or less. Mine has around 55k, and I plan to keep it worry free for a long time.
As suggested, though, I'd get the tranny fluid changed...a small cost preventative when you look at how much you would spend for a new tranny.
