I need to extend the leads on my 02 sensors on my Gen 2 MINI. Is there a source for the male and female ends for the sensors, as I would like to make a simple pigtail. If not what connectors would you recommend? Any advice or tips for this project would be appreciated.
Delphi makes a sealed automotive connector series.. I just checked Mouser and found the GT 150 series sealed connector... Give it a try. There's a whole section on automotive connectors and you want one that is sealed because it will be exposed to the elements. Some of these types are a bit of a pain to assemble, so check into all that stuff as well before you buy. Matt
Thanks - I think perhaps it would be better to cut - solder/splice - shrink wrap the individual wires then put the wire bundle in an insulated heat-protection sleeve. I was hoping to just make a pigtail but I cannot find the connector without purchasing the whole 02 sensor.
We have been unable to find the connectors for the male end. So I've been saving damaged wiring harnesses and 02 sensors.
