    Greetings,

I am a newbie to this site - I have own this wonderful 04' R50 non-S model for about 3 years now with 109K miles. It has been wonderful and fun car to own. My Cat is recently making a lot of rattling noise inside of the Cat. Needless to say, I will have to buy a new Cat soon.

What are some options do I have? Someone has mentioned the Magnaflow 2.5" High-Flow Cat. I don't race with the car or go to track at all... However, I do have updated exhaust system (borla) for about 2-3 years now.

I would love to hear some options and for those that gone through this before.

    Thank you in advance.

    Jay

Someone correct me, but if the S and non-S models use the same cat, you can typically find 'em used. I know a guy in Harrisburg PA selling a used downpipe/cat combination in decent shape. Or head to a muffler shop and have them weld one in.

I'm with Dixon you can get a used cat. New is very spendy. Are you sure the noise is not the heat shields. Check that first & go from there.

    Welcome to M/A.
