    Hey Guys,
Our 07 MCS is in need of some front struts. The car is lowered with H&R springs too BTW. The car is basically a daily driver but we do a fair amount of runs with various clubs through the twisties and the occasional autocross.

Here's my dilemma, should I go with something like a Koni FSD or just settle with OEM JCW struts from the dealer. I get a decent discount from them through my shop.

    Thanks for the input!

Tire Rack has FSDs on sale for $672 right now. I thought FSDs were not to be used with lowering springs, but they sell them bundled with Eibach lower springs.

I used the FSDs with lowering springs without problems (have switched to coilovers since).

The FSD/Eibach bundles are available for some cars but not for MINI.

I would go for the OEM struts. I have the FSD and TSW springs and have ridden in some cars with the OEM struts and TSW spings and have a real hard time feeling any difference and what I can feel tends to lean to the JCW struts.

:D If the entire suspension is JCW and you get a dealer discount; I'd stick with JCW. But that's just me. Jason
