I figure I should get something new every month for the MINI?

Latest purchase.

I was just looking one day for some sticker and there it was.:biggrin5:

 

Well I feel like a real gear head. :lol:
I know from all that I have read that this is another part that probably does nothing except let me know that there is air going into my engine. But I got it as a parts package deal and I installed it all by myself.
Something about doing a engine part install that takes most of the afternoon that you can pop a good bottle of wine and feel good about doing it? :lol:

 

I really liked the building. It was another early morning drive and i found it just making a turn here and a turn there.

I had to repair a headlight adjusting bolt today. When I removed the headlight this sticker was there.







I SAY NO!!! :lol:



Best I could do for the repair. The bolt was crossed thread in the brass keeper/adjuster so I had to drill off the head of the bolt and then cut the reaming to remove it rearward. I could not get a new adjuster in there without taking several more parts off so I improvised. :fingerscrossed:

 

eBay. The only problem is that the MINI steering wheel is already fat and the thumb rest make is challenging tightening the cover and threading it up to look acceptable. I had a little bunching on the one side as you can see but overall it came out out. It makes the wheel very comfortable for long driving yet when I need to white knuckle steer there is a lot to grab onto.

 

The problem I am having with my MINI?

I paid cash for the MINI. There are no loans and payments every month.

So why does it still feel like I have car payments with this MINI?

OH....I like my new mirror caps.

All my tools seem to be for 70's-80's American cars so I had to go buy a compression tester just for the MINI.

That's ok any excuse to buy new tools....
