Come on be honest how many are like me.....that is a to say a practicing Procrastinator? = the avoidance of doing a task which needs to be accomplished.
Here is at least one partial project I started , heck I cant even remember when but at this point regarding it needing to free up some space in the spare bedroom and my garage work bench for other things unfinished this seemed to be the first in line. Or at least I felt like working on.
I test fired it on the home sound systems sub amp. Wow I wish you all could feel it. For what it is, it hits hard and quick. I set the amp crossed at 125HZ 24rate cutoff. If it does as well in the car I will be very pleased.
And it fits perfect and tight in the rear compartment area . I will not need to add any securing additions.
What started out as a inexpensive empty and generic bass box is now a upgraded and I think very nice intermediate level sub-box.

Adding the poly fill to trick the speaker,

And this is how it will look installed and wired in the MINI.

Our 09 MINI R56 Cooper S comes with a factory dark tinted panoramic roof. There is even a front and rear Blind to reduce the suns shine power. But even after I used 2% Limo Tint over the factory dark tinted glass the sun still shine in my face or on my head in the afternoon. No one makes anything that looks like it belongs their to cover it. So I decided to make a nice easily installed and removed cover insert. I was going to go with material that matched the rest of the head liner but thought I really wanted something more "retro" look but still tasteful. So what better pattern and material then Hot Rod Diamond.

Next step is to finish the top or the side that can only be seen if the sunroof were open. Which is not the intention of the cover. I also need to come up with a tab idea to be able to easily remove and inst the cover.

I changed a hose today. On the left. I did not feel any difference in power. The engine sounds like a real engine now when accelerating and does not have a that fake sound from the firewall. If that makes sense?
