I changed a hose today. On the left. I did not feel any difference in power. The engine sounds like a real engine now when accelerating and does not have a that fake sound from the firewall. If that makes sense?
Always a bit creepy when this happens. There was a day when you sold or traded in your car but now I suppose this is just becoming mature.
Congrats on joining the 100K club! Many more fun miles await, as long as you keep your car in its already fine running order.
Thank you. As of today our MINI has never been garage kept and is a chore keeping it clean. But still FUN! I just popped out and took these photos.
I really love your Mini. I have inherited a 2010 Clubman S with your exact paint from a very special friend who passed away last year. He bought it new in 2010 and it has 6800 miles on the odometer of which I put over 2400 miles driving from Oregon to Phoenix and back...it's a great road car!
Soooo, Mr. PepperWhite, it looks like homes in your hood have two-car garages. What's in yours, instead of your MINI? CD
Some have 2 car garage (mine), while others have 2 plus golf cart garage. As far as what is in mine well Very little air space. Why is it when we get bigger garages we find more boxes and just stuff to store in them. Where does it all come from?
I have not been driving the MINI lately. Engine oil leaking from Turbo line right on my down pipe. :cryin: I did get the kit to fix it. Lot of work for a damn little seal! :frown2:
What a nightmare. I fix one thing and another thing starts leaking oil. I have seen Old Harley's leak less oil? :frown2: And I was cleaning my valve cover to replace the gasket and found this little rubber flap. I am told there are replacements? I must buy a complete valve cover. REALLY!!??
Having some fun while I am trying to fix things. Making things at least look new makes you feel better about the work you do. Making some wind chimes. :cornut:
Sorry everyone I seemed to have got caught up in the photbucket ransoming pictures for money thing. :cryin: If I had known this would ever happened I would have just used direct posting. I am not sure If I I am allowed or want to replace the missing pictures but I will use a better method to post them in the future.
The original battery finally died. I got a Optima but it took about 3 hours to install it. Not that it was hard I just had to remove all the other parts clean and repaint them and then clean the area where the battery goes. I had to order new cowl panel parts. The ones I removed were cracked and broken. I got them from Out Motoring. The guy Aaron is a great guy to help with things you need for the MINI. https://www.outmotoring.com/
