I need a 3 stage forward, one step back stage. I can even find where to fix my signature.

Damn..... Didn't know that was going to be an issue with the stubby. I made mine out of stainless steel and installed it onto the plastic housing. Took the MINI in for service a couple of times (oil change and distorted hood scoop) both times they washed it, which I thought was nice of them.:D

From your post, I checked my mount this morning and it seems loose.:incazzato: Got any ideas how to tighten the black plastic housing that sits on the roof? Don't tell me I have to take down the liner to get to the fittings.:mad5:

MM, you can take the headliner loose at the rear hatch and get to the mounting nut by slipping your arm in between the headliner and the roof.

Wish that I could have stayed longer! Our new guy had messed our phone system up at work the night prior. On the plus side it made for a quiet morning!

Yea I enjoyed watching the Mini tech take my interior apart to replace that thing. He said as long as you know where to pull and pust the Mini interior is really easy to take apart and put back together.

Metalman you are stage 4 you must be some kind of Mini God, hope you can make it out to breakfast or dinner one of these times.

Jason, Not yet but here are the options that I am aware of:
    Bel Largo - Westerville
    Red Robin - Polaris
    Route 66 Grille - Worthington
    Cantina Laredo - Polaris

Are there any other alternatives that we are not aware of?

Jason, Can you set up a poll on the MOM website to get a concensus? If so we can start a new thread and link to vote.

Is there any reason we shouldn't rotate through those options and check the new ones out first maybe?

Update! Got my baby back and everything's good. Apparently they had to replace the clutch and flywheel (???). They can't say what caused it but i think no matter how i drive...i can't imagine it was my fault that the clutch went out at 6000 miles.

I even made the service guy go with me to critique my driving to see if it was me. He said it seemed like my driving was normal (i like to think better than normal :p)...hope this doesn't happen every 6000 miles (especially since i used my freebie clutch and the flywheel can cast $2800+ i heard).

So i'm heading out to give it a nice hand wash so it knows i'm happy to have it home :)

eh i think its a documented problem. there are just lemon clutches out there, and some are not as lucky as us and get turned down. grats on having it covered, like it should be.
