    You mentioned replacing "both" of the power steering lines. I'm assuming that you are talking about the ones that go up to the tank. What about the high pressure line between the pump and the rack? Unfortunately that part is more expensive ($150-180 instead of $40-50), but if you are going to do a preventative PS hose replacement, I think that the high pressure hose might be more likely to give due to time/exposure.

    Not being critical... just wondering what the thought process was as I recently had to replace the high pressure line on my '06 MCS due to a drip.

    the easiest way of course is to drop the subframe but if you dont wanna go that far the line runs around to the driver side and is bolted in by a large banjo bolt...its a royal pain to get to the bolt but the process is just unclip the lines from the bottom of the canister and pull down...unclip the line that goes into the pump and unbolt the return line and its just a process of working the hoses out...the power steering system is a pretty straight forward process but like i said the easiest way to get at it all is to drop the subframe with is really not too painful...

    yes it worked before...in hindsight i should have tested them before buttoning it back up...oh well
