As much as it pains me, we need to part ways with our beloved Olive. She's a 1969 Austin Mini 1000. Here are the specs: Color: Sandy Beige / White top Interior: Tartan red interior with a wood dash and steering wheel Mileage: 38,476 RIGHT HAND DRIVE Paint condition: 9/10 Interior condition: 10/10 (seriously, it's perfect) Body condition: 9/10 She runs perfectly and I've got service records for years and years and years. I don't know exactly how far back they go but it's a hefty folder full. I just recently replaced the alternator, starter solenoid, water pump and completely restored the front drum brakes. The only imperfections in the paint are minor. There are a couple of rust spots painted over and holes near the fenders where the previous owner had installed some hideous fender flares. I had originally planned to have them filled and painted over, but the next owner may very well want fender flares, so they'd be covered up anyway. Asking $12,000 OBO. I'll let the pics do the rest of the talking. I'm located in Murrells Inlet, SC (29576). Shipping can be arranged at the expense of the buyer but I don't mind setting it up. I'd be happy to take additional pictures of anything anyone wants Exterior: Interior:
Man she is a looker & if I could swing it she would be mine. Unfortunately someone else will get to own that sweet Mini. I've very sorry that you have to sell her. Good luck.
OMG. If I had $12k that I could spare, I'd give it to you. That is beautiful. (just for the heck of it, where are you located?)
Ah I'm sorry, I forgot to mention location. I'm in Murrells Inlet, SC (Myrtle Beach). I originally bought the car from a guy in Richmond, VA. It's been garage kept it's entire life. It really is a wonderful car. Shipping can be arranged at buyers expense, but I don't mind setting it up for them
Definitely! It's an A+ series motor, I believe it's 990cc (close to it anyway). It isn't all original as the car was restored approximately 10 years ago and they placed a slightly newer version of the A series motor in it compared to what it would have originally had. I just had the alternator, starter solenoid and water pump replaced as well as some of the wires hidden to make it look a little cleaner. I can tell that it has an aftermarket air filter on the carb as well as a "flamethrower" to help boost power. The car has also been converted from negative ground to positive ground in the past. I can post a pic but I'll have to wait till tonight so I can go take one.
Don't be afraid to make an offer either. I know it's worth the $12,000, but finding someone with that kind of cash handy isn't easy these days. I'd rather it go to a good enthusiast home of someone who would enjoy it than it become a paper weight in someones garage.
