    Hi and welcome to M/A.

The top seal is part of the windshield when it installed and glued in place. You have to replace the glass to replace the seal / top trim.

For the sunroof shade. I have not see anyone replace them without removing the roof. What I did was tint the sunroof glass limo black to cut down on the UV and gee- the car cool. The shades really do nothing UV wise. Just retract them or cut the hanging fabric and have the sunroof glass tinted very dark.

Florida and California sun kills black paint and trim on all cars.

    Welcome to M/A

My wife's clubster had the gasket on the lower part of the windscreen get so bad it was pealing off. That gasket is part of the cowl pieces.

I called eMINIprts.com & Steven sent me a new pair. They are a forum sponsor & will give you a discount for being an M/A member.

There are other fine sponsors here that can also get you that part.

As for the sun screen under that sunroof. There is no easy way I know of to fix it. Either live with it, cut it out or pay much money to have the sunroof removed for the repair.

As has been said a dark tint is an alternative.

    Welcome to M/A!

I have 3 Gen 1 MINIs, and all have sunroofs. All of the sunroofs have sunroof covers and all 3 are different. The BEST one is on my MCS and has a dragon design over an all black background. It lets NO light inside and yet the dragon design is clearly visible on the inside, too. When I partially open the sunroof, there is really no need for that screen here in Ohio, but, since you are in Florida, I can see why you might want it.

Sorry, but other than suggesting you look into an opaque sunroof cover that lets no light inside, I cannot be of any help.
