1st Gen R50 Cooper 2003 r50 door lock issue

  1. Guest - Welcome to the new Motoring Alliance Site! Steve, MCS02 and I were up until the early hours this morning working to get it done... as you can see it took us a bit longer than expected to get Phase 1 up and running.     i can manualy lock pass door but driver wont lock manualy.......when i use the key fob to lock the driver door lock will go down and up 3 times but not lock pass door does nothing....when i start the car and start driving same thing with the driver door down and up with the lock 3 times but still unlocked.....anybody know whats up

    can only afford used from junk yard changed them both.....but with my luck the ones from yard are bad too........

    as for changing them as a mechanic its a pain in the ass but iv had worse knuckle scraping jobs than that

    It's not really that hard if your double jointed, have magnetic fingers and don't mind bleeding from all the sharp edges in the inner door.

    After you get over all that it's simple. :lol::thumbsup:

    I thought I would never get that dam little wire reconnected! The only thing worse was trying to restring a window regulator on a Fiat
