That’s less than 300 miles a year. You would think that just driving it weekly around the proverbial block would put more miles on it than that.

 

Yep. Someone has treated that car like a classic collectable and not a driver. A bit sad, but it's a beautiful example of a Gen 1 GP.

Still at 30k w/ 5 days to go.

 

It’s at $39k with six days to go already so it has an excellent chance to top $45k.

 

It’s at $41,250 with three days to go. Bidding should heat up on the last day.

 

Wow that is P car money. I love the GP, but I'd be spending that coin on a P car.

 

I'd like to get a set of the GP floor mats, but that price is too high to scavenge those out.

 

Ummm, the first sign of aging comes when one starts to repeat himself [posts 158 and 159].

 

Wowzer !! The winning bidder really wanted a first generation GP to pay that price. I wonder if’n he has plans on driving it or it’s going to stay a garage queen ??

$11,850 with less than eight hours to go. Historically the last couple of hours will see an upsurge of bidding. I agree that this is a pristine car and will be a great buy for someone.

 

Ugh...no cold weather package There goes any interest I may have had, especially since Ohio has cold and nasty Winter weather.

 

Less than two hours to go and the bidding has stalled at $11,850.

 

Which is pretty impressive given that 16 years ago I purchased a like-new... well... actually-new R53 for $28k.

 

I always find it amazing that such fun cars show up with such low mileage. It’s super clean, it’s a soft top and it’s a hot summer which should make it a desirable ride for a number of folks. It’ll be fun watching the bidding unfold on this beautiful R52.
