MINI front ends are stone magnets, as evidenced by my wife's '06 MCS. On the other hand, my '03 MC and '06 MCS both have clear bras on the front ends and, consequently, no rock damage.

 

I had planned to put it on my MINI. Within a week I already had a couple of stone chips. I said screw it & skipped putting the clear film on there. Over the years I had big fun with a paint pen playing hide the latest series of stone chips.

Maybe they are confusing this MINI with a GTI. Water pumps failing is a common occurrence. Had one done on mine, happily paid for by VW.

Never had a water pump failure on my R53 in 120,000 miles. Babs R55 Justa Clubster is sporting a new Jarvic 7.

 

Something must be wrong. The British rustproofing isn't working. No oil drips means no oil. Better stay away from this one.

 

Bidding is $15,250 with less than two days to go. I would imagine that things should really heat up Friday afternoon.
