With bidding up tomorrow afternoon the red car remains at $7,000. It will be interesting to see if’n the stock 06 R53 with lower mileage and sold for $15,750 last week has an affect on the bidding of the lightly modded partially dealer made JCW.

 

With just over five hours to go the red ‘JCW’ Is now $7500.

 

The red JCW home brew went for $15,250. IMO that's all the money. Would have been a sweet deal for $10,000.

I'm feeling better and better about my real Gen 1 JCW that has been lovingly refreshed! Sure, it has 80k miles on it instead of the 30-40k or so (if I remember correctly), but the entire brake / suspension system has been replaced. I paid less than half of that price just 4 years ago and, even with the price of all of the upgrades/fixes, I should be under that price w/ my total investment.

 

OK... I was just flipping through the photos of the red JCW. I stumbled across this one... Has anyone seen this before? If they made it in a BlackJack design, I'd buy a set in a heartbeat! I hate the airbag warning stickers.

 

I've never seen this style [raised plastic with a sticky back] on sun visors before, but I HAVE put them on the exterior of my cars.

 

Coming down the stretch the GP2 is $30,000 with just under an hour to go.

 

The wheels and seats are really nice, but the rest of the car is rather ho-hum.

 

I actually guessed a bit higher at 20k only because cars have been going for more than I thought they would and this is a unique model.

 

WTF? 17k and the MC40 didn't hit reserve? Someone thinks a bit too much of their MCS with a few dress-up bits.

 

I'm surprised it didn't sell for that. Guess he'll sit on it for a few more years while it wildly appreciates in value. If that was my car I'd remove all that decal pollution & get a set made up to keep on the shelf.

 

Those stickers on that GP can be removed. I'm sure not a fan of stickers either. I wonder why the dealer didn't remove them?

 

The stickered GP has a little over fifteen hours left and is now at $14,000. The car only has 30,000 miles but is not as clean as one would think. The stickers are a point of contention with some folks, along with a lot of stone chips in the paint and the undercarriage is not in as good shape as a number of MINI’s being sold on BaT. I doubt it brings in what it sold for back in 2020.
