    I was 2k low on my estimate for the low mile car. $35k after a lengthy incremental bidding war between two guys who really wanted the car

    Clean MINI, it is missing the JCW exhaust that would have been there even if this was a dealer installed JCW kit.

    Nice MINI. Notice the difference between the extremely low mileage climate controlled garage kept GP underneath versus this one. I’m not saying this one is not a very nice car just that this one shows that it has driven therefore enjoyed. This one will be very interesting to watch as it represents a non GP / factory JCW which a lot more people have.

    I'm looking forward to seeing what the red 'JCW' goes for. Rufus, my '05 JCW, has more miles but is in much better condition.

    I'm hoping for $9k or so.

    Our local dealer also had an MC40 that sat on the lot for quite a while. As I recall one of the sales guys told me they had to add the JCW kit & remove the stickers to get anyone interested. He also said the lack of cruise control put people off.

    Time moves on & now they are special. ;)

    I'm not surprised that it didn't sell. Even with a questionable history @ $13,500 it would have been a gift for that car IMHO. As we all know any car can be fixed.
