The car is a beautiful 2004 11,000 mile R53 which just happens to be a MC40. If someone is looking for a modded car this isn’t going to be their cup of tea but if’n someone is looking for a sharp stock MC40 or R53 this is going to be right up their alley.

that MC40 at over 20k would be the first non-JCW or GP to go over 20k. I don't think it'll make it that high, but I generally have been guessing too low.

I'm honestly amazed to see the MC40 go for more than a normal R53. Back when they were new my local dealership had 2 of 'em on the lot that sat there for over 1/2 a year because nobody wanted to pay the premium for some CF bits and red seat covers that didn't fit so well (they are seat covers, applied over black/grey space cloth). When I was at the dealership with my wife one day, she saw one and went walking straight for it. She said "Ooooh! Look at the red one with the stickers! That's kinda coo... Hey... what happened to the seats? Why do they look like that?"

Not sure what’s up with the link, but it looks like the 14 mile GP is back up for sale a few years later with around 4,700 miles for $49,500.
The listing pops up for a second, then goes to an error screen.

Someone commented that some decals had been taken off recently and no ghosting was present but until you see it done you cannot be absolutely certain. Since it was recently sold for $25K that’s going to be a pretty stiff ante to only find out that you guessed wrong. The only good thing is that there is no reserve and maybe the bidding won’t be as high this time.

Here you go, there's another one, this with 68k miles - #1952, looks stock and well taken care of. Maybe 25k? Probably more in this market.

and it continues on BAT with this 62k mile example. I think $24k is possible again

some dumb comments as usual. Some guy thinks the rear seats were modified and he wants to go back to a rear seat and needs the instructions-

The interesting things about the GP rear seats is that the job was professional shop, the workmanship looks top notch, all the original pieces from GP were saved and it can be put back to the original configuration. I get it that doing this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea and if’n it couldn’t be reverted back to original condition it would be a shame but MINI’s lend themselves to each individuals vision and that’s what makes so much fun even for dingbats.
