After this one went to $23.5k, they are giving us 2006 GPs to follow: #413 19,000 miles https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-mini-gp-36/ #1317 90,000 miles https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2006-mini-gp-37/ I am guessing $33k and $20k
Wow that there is all the money. That is what I paid for my 06. I wonder how genevamotorcars sources all these very nice MINIs he sells.
That’s a good question about the seller. As far as the money someone could have been lamenting all these years that they didn’t buy that 06 R53 and now a brand new one appears and costs no more than one the one from fifteen years ago. Good for them and it’s entertaining for the rest of us.
I agree. I wonder if’n the events of last year are the primary cause of this or if this just the normal ups downs that older collectible are go through.
Yes it's fun to watch & play with other's money. My take is that Mister genevamotorcars must be dancing a jig with that price. Really a nice car, but IMO $7.500 over priced. I wonder how much the seller paid for that one. Buy low $ell high as they say. I really don't think prices we are seeing on BAT really show the bubble regular car sales are in right now. Although BAT prices have been headed up too. GP with 90K on the odo? Now that is how a MINI should be used. Driven fast & far, enjoyed to the fullest!
Yes I do. I took it for a spin today. My neighbor across the street wants it. I need to finish fixing it and sale it to him. I love the car but it was not meant to stay
That is why I stay away from fun cars to flip. I become attached & that becomes a problem. The lovely Babs becomes unhappy & I could become dead.
Buy the GP and sell the other three cars. You’ll be happy, the CFO will be happy, your storage problems will be solved or at least more manageable and we’ll know the GP is going to a good home. No need to thank me just seeing a picture of you and the GP in your driveway will be thanks enough.
I get attached to all my cars, even utility vehicles. I think that comes with working on them and knowing all their quirks, plus knowing they have been taken care of. I still have a 4Runner I bought with 100k miles back in 2001 in Nevada. It hasn't been registered in 10 years, but one day it may just all come together and I'll know what to do with it
The 90K miles GP could become a quiltless Track Car with many miles and laps of fun, fun, fun and more fun. Looks good, goes like snot and you can get an engine block now from sneed, race prep, if needed. So I'm watching, just need more garage, trailer and a tow vehicle. Not going to happen.
