I hadn’t realized you could tap on the persons name and their history on BAT would come up. You’re spot on that he appears to be very well funded.
another low mile '06 JCW, full aero kit, but not OEM. 38k miles, Chili red, white roof. Lose the MSD ignition coil and you have a sweet Mini. I am guessing $21.5k https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2005-mini-cooper-s-john-cooper-works-4/
Clean MINI, it is missing the JCW exhaust that would have been there even if this was a dealer installed JCW kit.
Nice MINI. Notice the difference between the extremely low mileage climate controlled garage kept GP underneath versus this one. I’m not saying this one is not a very nice car just that this one shows that it has driven therefore enjoyed. This one will be very interesting to watch as it represents a non GP / factory JCW which a lot more people have.
The nice thing about this car is that it’s most likely going to be bought and driven, not put away and never truly enjoyed.
A lot of comments on the authenticity of this car. The owner seems to be very engaged which always makes for a better auction. Personally I view this car as a very nice condition modded S and if’n I wanted a 100% JCW I’d look elsewhere.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the red 'JCW' goes for. Rufus, my '05 JCW, has more miles but is in much better condition. I'm hoping for $9k or so.
On BaT a beautiful 2006 R53 with 26,000 miles was just sold by Geneva Motor Cars for $15,750. I just bring this up only because of the red questionable JCW that is now on the bidding block for $3,500 and one would think this should have an affect on it’s price.
With a little over three days to go the red car I’d still at $7,000. As always the last couple of hours should prove to be highly entertaining.
With a little over four days to go the GP2 is at $5,444. It’s a car that has been driven but has been maintained well.
