2006 GP on BAT

With just a shade over two days to go the red car is still at $7,000.

 

With a little over three days to go the GP2 is now $7500.

 

With bidding up tomorrow afternoon the red car remains at $7,000. It will be interesting to see if’n the stock 06 R53 with lower mileage and sold for $15,750 last week has an affect on the bidding of the lightly modded partially dealer made JCW.

 

The GP2 is now at $7600 with over two days to go. It has a few minor blemishes but overall looks to be a very nice driver.

Better get your bids in folks..... That price seems fair to me. I wonder if it will jump up at the last few minutes.

 

Less than three hours to go on the red ‘JCW’ and it’s still at $7500. The last half hour seems to see the wild bidding but at the moment this appears to be a real bargain.

The red JCW home brew went for $15,250. IMO that's all the money. Would have been a sweet deal for $10,000.

 

I agree with Crashton that for under / at $10K it was a decent value but that’s when the bidding went bonkers through the roof.

 

With less than twenty hours to go the GP2 is still at $15,500. The last few minutes of the scheduled bid time and whatever amount of extra minutes they allot will most likely allow this car to be sold for low 20’s if’n the gen 2 cars follow what the recent trend of the gen 1 cars.

I'll just NEVER understand why people buy these cars and then never drive them. MINIs are made to be DRIVEN!

I bought my now heavily modded '06 S new, off the lot and it has over 155,000 well-traveled miles, from 4 season daily driver, thru a myriad of track days and many trips to MOTD. It has never let me down and I plan to keep it.

I'm feeling better and better about my real Gen 1 JCW that has been lovingly refreshed! Sure, it has 80k miles on it instead of the 30-40k or so (if I remember correctly), but the entire brake / suspension system has been replaced. I paid less than half of that price just 4 years ago and, even with the price of all of the upgrades/fixes, I should be under that price w/ my total investment.

 

OK... I was just flipping through the photos of the red JCW. I stumbled across this one... Has anyone seen this before? If they made it in a BlackJack design, I'd buy a set in a heartbeat! I hate the airbag warning stickers.
