    Thanks everyone!!
I haven't gotten to drive it much. It has summer tires that are at the wear bars.
Those and ice/snow do not make for any sort of traction!
I've got a set of nokian Hakka 8's on order, along with R113 jcw 18's and run flats for summer. It needs a little tlc.. Also maybe a flat white wrap. We'll see!

    Also needs cruise!
I have a whole steering column coming in as well. Going to swap over some parts and have the dealer code it.
    My daily commute is 210km.

Looks mint! Great buy. Would like to know more about the competition edition I have not seen or herd about that before. What makes it a CE over a JCW

.ah found all the info here only thing it's got is that stamp on the dial with its CE number. Well it's still cool and more rare than a GP lol enjoy! If you ever see a part out for a CE edition in Canada let me know would like that dial lol

Did this Special Edition model come without cruise? If so, what other luxury features is it without?

Welcome, and nice MINI! With chili red being the default color, I wonder how many astro black CE's were produced?

colour breakdown (mini2 poster as source?).
ok well i stumbled upon an alleged breakdown of the colours and options for our JCW CE's on the UK sister site:

    MINI kept four units, and 2 are CR, 1 HB and 1 AB. All have cloth interiors and Alloy Patina dash. Of the sixty in dealers hands;
    Astro Black - 26 Units, Chili Red - 23, Hyper Blue - 11
    Leatherette - 55, Cloth - 5
    Premium Package - 58, No Premium - 2

So astro black is actually the most common.
    No cruise, no nav.

Cool ride but I would not put 18's on it. Say with the 17's.

    Too late. On order already.

18's, sports suspension, run flats.... This thing is gonna ride like a caddy!

The 17's will have studded tires mounted for winter.

    I think it was sarcasm.

Nice R53 JCW. Keep the salt cleaned off so it will last a long time.

Nathan, thanks for the description. It saved me from searching for it. :cornut:
