That is going to have to go to the dealer or to a BMW/MINI shop that has access to the factory ECU and Body Control programming.
Where are you located, we can possibly point you to a local shop.

Take it to the dealer and have them reset it. Act like it just came on for on reason
Do not tell them you did it unless you have money in you pocket that you want to give away. It's a safety issue and under warranty.
They will also check to see if its part of the AirBag recall.
FYI - Always disconnect the battery when working on anything airbag related and do not have the key in the "on" position. (If you have a key and not a fob) -
