Hi, Welcome to MA! Could you tell what symbol it was showing. I will try to find the code in the bentley manual this after noon.
Also you can call Detroit Tuned and ask Chad. He even has a way you can give some money is you think his advise is worth it, and it is. I have done this but he will help either way, great guy.

I'm a Generation One owner and cannot be of much help, as you have a turbo and mine are supercharged MINIs. However do a search and see if there are any local foreign car repair shops [ones that do MINIs AND Bimmers, etc.]. Or even a local mechanic with a long history of experience might be able to figure out what's going on.
I'm POSITIVE someone here other than I can help you, though, as there are a lot of newer generation owners here in M/A who know their way around such issues. Don't fret...help WILL arrive. -

How many miles on your MINI and where are you located ?

The ODB readers should at least give you a code that starts with the letter P, even if it doesn’t specifically spell it out. We can look up those codes for you.
