Not using a printer such as Zazzle or Cafe Press that has been informed by BMW/MINI that they can't print such things and also not asking permission from MINI as they are supposed to.
I am very tempted to post the email address of the legal beagle I've been working with at MINI so ya'll can post your thoughts. -

Nothing to be confused about. I tried it being all on the up and up with MINI USA, others do not have the same moral compass. Just goes to help prove the point that no good deed goes unpunished.

Really? You all think that an organization as big and long running as NAM could get away with trademark infringement like this? Year after year?
I wonder.....
And kudos to Nathan for doing it the right way, it's less expensive in the long run anyway, time you get lawyers involved..... -
Me thinks Nathan did it right too and the hassle and expense that might occur is just not worth it...
That said and just as a discussion on trade mark infringement, I find it hard to believe that Mini can enforce infringement to the extent that they are trying too. Point being that there is tons of publications that are not non profit that feature photos of Mini Coopers; one being Grassroots Motorsports which in almost every issue has photos of Minis being driven by its readers. There are also many vendors with Minis in their advertisements. Do they really think that they own the rights to a photo of my Mini and where or who I might allow to print and or use my photo of my Mini in.... If challenged it could cost big bucks so Mini figures they will just wave their attorneys in whoever's face they want too when it might suit them.... But I hardly believe that it could be upheld in a court of law as long as the publication does not use the trademark as part of the title or to represent the publication.
