Its called...Aircap, a wind deflector that extends nearly 2.5 inches forward from the top of the windshield header. When used in combination with a wind blocker behind the rear seats, Mercedes says the system dramatically reduces wind turbulence in the cabin. Personally part of the fun of a convertible is the wind in your hair. I guess it is a good thing in one sense though since I see many convertibles with the top up on beautiful days, at leas this may encourage them to lower it.
I would say that at least for the occupants of this vehicle wind in their hair should not be much of an issue.
