Well, the ordeal of purchasing is over now. Only a couple little niggly issues to resolve; namely, the lower driver's side grille trim isn't attached properly. MINI of Pittsburgh has to order the parts and came up with a temporary solution, and they found my other key which they lost.
It is already quite dirty after 240ish miles, and I'm waiting for the floor mats I ordered to come in, then all I need to do is enjoy it!
I'm not sure if I'm going to register for the 23rd. What kind of activities are there? Is it just registering for the show and being eligible to win show prizes that I don't care enough about to properly wash my car to have a chance to win?
Anyway, just need to order some rally-style static cling name stickers and my friend and I will be ready for the Kick-off Rallye! -
Have you been to the PVGP car show weekend before?
The 23rd is the biggest mini event of the year. $5/person includes catered lunch on Saturday and parking in schenley park Saturday and Sunday. We meet at the west end overlook Saturday for photos then are police escorted nonstop through pittsburgh to the car show.
The cars (ours anyways) are not judged - it doesn't have to be clean. There are raffle prizes at the lunch on Saturday, last year we were each given a ticket and they pulled numbers for Mini accessories and beaverun giftcards. -
Looks like we've got ~60 cars registered now!
-
Looks like we might have 135 MINIs registered!
-
Looks like I am going to have to miss this due to some issues I need to deal with on this end.

Here is a video from the event!
