    Hope I haven't missed a previous post..... I have a vibration rattle in front of the driver(that's me) that occurs on rough asphalt. I finally had the dealer check it for me. The problem is the steering rack that sends a vibration up the steering column purposely to drive me nuts! Of course I am not the only one with this issue. The fix is being developed by MINI so a work order was put in place to assure I'll be called when the fix is available AND to let MINI know that here is another customer in need. If you have this rattle please know a fix is on the way and that it is important to have the problem documented by your dealer. Replacing the steering rack will not fix the problem. The problem is a design tolerance issue within the rack itself.
