Fairly certain the Dodge Viper ACR comes with the Pilot Sports as well. Just throwing that out there. As far as the Corvette being a straight line car....ehhhh, they are faaaaaaaar from that ! Yes they have the power, but drive-line shows a lot of weakness in 1/4 efforts. Corvette, is and has also been a car built for turning, never anything else.

One can see the direct technology transfer from the C6.R to the street car and vice versa. For example, Le Mans rules state there needs to a minimum cockpit temp. GM HVAC engineers worked with the Race Team to install A/C on the race cars. In turn the race team provided data on how the system worked over 24 grueling hours. The GM team went back and modified the components to make them both lighter and longer lived. Race car testing showed that it worked and then this was brought back to the street car.
