Countryman aboard the Taiko, left Bremerhaven yesterday at 6:50 pm! Scheduled to be at NY/NJ port on 12/15! Woooooo Hoooooo!
Wonderful news indeed Mr. Jim, and pretty fast delivery. Hope it is a great fit for the household. We are nearly 100% acclimated to our CM and that didn't take long! Like your Rover, our 95 Previa is wondering what the retirement plan is....
Jim, We can understand both your excitement and anxiety. Our twins (CM and Roadster) also arrived via Taiko in May. You will be elated when he/she arrives. Both its appearance and performance are awesome. Best wishes! Jim
The Taiko is at Port Elizabeth as I write this! The Countryman is on the shores of Jersey and hopefully in my driveway by next weekend!!!!!!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas for Mr Jim! Now go out and talk nice to the Rover so she holds together for the last bit. :fingerscrossed:
The Countryman is at MINI of Monmouth!!! We're picking up Friday afternoon..... so until the official introduction here's a few with the traveling coat on.....
Oh yes, pick up went very good, save the front license plate bracket I told them not to install and they did! 300 miles since yesterday and full tank of gas! Wooooo hoooooo! Intro and pictures to follow.
Introducing..... The Abominable Dr. Phibes! Since we went with Light White I originally saw Abominable as in Snowman, but it just wasn't "evil" enough, lol. Then with my love of old horror movies, a light went off, Vincent Price.... The Abominable Dr. Phibes! I looked up the movie poster and knew it was right.... "Love means never having to say you're ugly". That's the Countryman! Mods already, stubby antenna, Dr. Phibes euro plate and Dr. Phibes custom Go-Badge.... I'll work on my Garage after the holidays.
