I also learned, GoPro's can't pick up the "bang"... sounds like a snap. Need to figure out how to edit the video to get it right..

Lose the splitter. And get a tow hook plug.

That's the reason I say get rid of it. It looks too small and ruins the front of the car.

So I was able to get it in the garage and start doing some research and prep for the installation. During that I found these.. I’m never a fan of vacuum lines and a plug not being attached. I was doing some research and it looks like the switch and line are part of the turbo recirculating blow off system. Any idea why these would be open? Feels like it was done on purpose. This is always the challenge of working on a car someone else modified.

Ties back I to this switch

I found this - which is plugged.

Doing some more research, but if anyone knows off the top of their head.. lmk.

And it’s covered in dust from the fire (not sure I’ll ever get all that cleaned out..)...

So it appears you can only buy a tow hook cover in painted... not sure this is going to be fixed in time for MOTD...

Thanks - I need to do some updates as I’ve been doing some work in between updating the website and working on my other projects. :D

Hey Sully. How do you like the quick jacks? I’ve been eyeing those as an alternative to twin hydraulics for home.

Agreed - and they are very flexible. I would get the one that can run off 12v and buy a jump pack from Harbor Freight (that is what I did). That way you can use them wherever without being tied to a electrical outlet. The one I purchased can lift my 2013 F250 Diesel (with the lift extensions). It barely fits length wise under the MINI, but it works. It is heavier than the other versions... so if you don't need that lifting capacity, I'm not sure I would do it. I have no issue recommending them. I'm back out of town, but when I get back to ATL I can post some pics etc.

Hay Dave. I'll buy the jacks and trade you for the motor you have coming. Really I don't mind. I like being helpful :D

Just do it - you won’t regret it especially with as much time as you spend around cars. :). And yes, I’ve been told I’m a bad influence before. :Stig:
