They're not, the description says DT Belt line black out kit. If they say it's theirs it's theirs. It also costs more that the Outmotoring kit. I'll let you know if it's worth the difference once installation takes place. http://www.detroittuned.com/dt-belt-line-black-out-kit/
Tje only true way to correct failed clear coat is to have it sanded down and re-cleared. Any good body shop should be able to do it.
Just ordered my Bentley for it.. . Waiting for some answers on the gauge.. Ie if I can use the P3 (http://www.p3cars.com/shop/mini/mini-r55-59-p3-vent-gauge/ ) with a dash command (or similar) for logging. Also lining up an AEM air intake and revised bar (factory won’t work with AEM)... My plan is to do a Dyno run to confirm current HP numbers. Then I’ll put on AEM, see difference. I also need to send off the Manic tuner to have it retuned for the Downpipe. Also researching at 2,5” exchaust to replace the 3”
With all of the effort being put into the site, I’m way behind on the GP2. However I was able to take it to Gran Turismo to have the car lifted up and setup for more sports oriented driving. Prior to lifting it up. The car was essentially setup for “stance” not performance driving. Rear being lifted first. Overall insides looked pretty good. However, I did find some rubbing in the wheel wells where the under perfection has been removed. I’ll need to address this before it turns into an issue. (Will get pic next time car is up) Here is what it looks like now.. Wheels in my opion fill out the arches well. It also rides much better. Up close shot: 1 “finger” space... this is essentially a baseline setup. As I drive it more and get some track time will adjust camber etc..
Love them tyres. They don't last too long, little over a year for me, but they perform and ride great. Until they near end of life anyways
Thanks - rides much better and will handle better. Now I just need to get it to a dyno to get some base runs in before I start making any changes. Then any changes I make we can compare against the baseline. That's the fun part.
No kidding.. one thing I'm finding very hard on the GP2 is heal tow. The brakes are SUPER light. First time I did it, almost put my face in the steering wheel.
OK - hoping I can get some work done on the GP2 (yes I need a better name.. any ideas are welcome) soon. Planning on revised intake and exhaust plus list of other things.. The drone from the exhaust is frankly not great. Anybody have Decible meter laying around I can borrow. Seems like good ones are a little pricy.
Ok - quick update.. here is what I’m looking to change near term: Engine/Performance Dyno.. have to start there. Forge BOV/diverter valve AEM Cold Air Intake (Replace ALTA) - AEM (21-721C) Cold Air Intake System - AEM (21-721C) Cold Air Intake System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J5R7B5G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_nFjSAbNZDZ6SJ New strut brace.. because of the AEM cold intake. https://www.gtspec.com/product/gtspec-type-d-minicooper-r56-front-strut-brace/ Exhaust - still looking at options here.. probably custom. ** Thanks @vetsvette Exterior Side door handles Gas Cap Front splitter.. not really the right size for the GP.. will add pics. Interior Something with sound system.. still researching. P3 Guage - http://www.p3cars.com/mini/mini-r55-59-p3-obd2-multi-gauge/ Some sort of logging system. Let me know if you think I’m missing anything..
iPhone has a decible app that works good As far as a name how about chitty chitty bang bang. The noise it will make once you start messing with the motor
Nice list! Have you looked at this BOV? http://www.gfb.com.au/products/blow-off-and-diverter-valves/dv-plus/dv-t9352-suits-mini-citroen-and-peugeot-application-detail
