Carbuzz posted a few spy shots of the upcoming 2012 MINI. Based on the new UKL1 platform to be shared with BMW in both FWD and AWD variants. According to the photographers and their sources, these prototypes seen in the photos are wearing the dashboard from the last generation BMW 1-Series. The new 2013 MINI will get the usual MINI center mounted dials in the center.This will also mark the first time that we will see a 3-cylinder engine in one of these MINIs, along the usual 4-cylinder lineup. I think it's the effect of the camo against the non-camo glass. However, do you see the seam behind the door? Third swinging door (ala Clubman/Saturn Ion)?

If it will be the same size as the R56, the additional doors will only allow you to "put stuff" on the rear seat more easily, but not people. Jim
I can only get one tiny person in the back of my R56, but then I'm six foot three, and am using one back seat for myself
