Great photos Chuck! The GT40 with the Gulf paint scheme was one of my favorites...it screams nostalgia!

 

I talked to the guy for a while about that GT40. It is an interesting car, it "officially" isn't a GT40 as far as Ford is concerned. However, every nut, bolt, rivet, body panel, engine part, etc. are original GT40 parts. It was assembled after Ford had stopped making the GT40.

And agreed a beautiful car!

Oh and he said they are selling it at the end of the season $130,000...

 

I figured that was the case, thanks for the confirmation. The originals are so valuable I'd guess they are not raced anymore. That's a sad thing. :frown5:
