Another change that will cost teams millions to deal with. Thought the idea was for teams to be saving money. This & the FRIC ban will not do that. Hey but that's F1.

If they want to save money they should be recapping the tires. Run a race & then recap them for the next race. That's so crazy I'm surprised they haven't done it already.

I think it will go down to the wire. In the 7 races that both have completed, Lewis has scored 4 more points than Nico. On a side note...pit stop times looked equally slow for both drivers this past weekend.

I hope that when Merc has the constructor's championship locked that Nico and Hammy are allowed to race each other. That will make for some interesting battles!

You keep making it sound like Nico has owned Hammy all season, so I was just using the results of the races where they both finished to point out that it is closer then the points show.

I heard what Nico said. I'm pretty sure all the drivers wear big boy pants & can take it.

Yes Lewis said Nico will have it easy & he will.

I think way too much is read into what a driver says or if he's smiling for the cameras. For me it is all about the racing. If someone says something that bothers other's well BFD. It's a race, if some folks want it to be something else OK. I'll just watch the racing. :)

Nico was really flying at the end & Lewis was in a car that was crippled with tires that were dead shot. However Nico with much fresher tires couldn't pass Lewis. Close racing for sure & I'm amazed Nico couldn't seal the deal & get on the podium. Nico did well to recover from his mechanical problems, but Lewis won this round in my book.

It didn't matter to me who won, any of the top 3 really deserved the win. Great drives all! I think if we could put Alonso in a Merc he'd lap the field, how'd he do it today? And a big attaboy to Kimi, finally a good race!

It's going to be a long wait for the next race. Can't wait for Spa.

Many people pointing out the irony of Bernie attempting to get out of a bribe scandal by offering money...

Wonder if Ricciardo has tapped the Red Bull on the shoulder with a hand extended yet.

Oh how I would love to see Ricciardo win the championship. Slim chance, but it's nice to dream. :)

Quick note - I loved this race, I think Nico drove very clumsily which is odd for him (except at Monaco - could be intentional, probably isn't) and that Lewis was making a rational call to try and save his engines and quit the race.

Gratz to Danny and Valteri. It's always nice to see a Williams on the podium.

Spending money to win is in everything. Racing, ball sports, games, business, and politics. My kids will even go on about how people spend all kinds of money to win on video/pc games and that takes the fun out of it.

It's just the way the world is and always has been. :smile5:

That's exactly how it sounded to me too......word for word.

I think it was just a wee bit egotistical of them to say they deprived the fans from seeing them race at the front - like there are no other cars out there capable of challenging them - even tho ONE other driver has won three times this season so far.....

Personally I'd be happy if they took each other out at the first corner every race remaining and let the rest of the field catch up and make a real race of it to the end.

But then a shortage of ego has never been a German problem......:cornut:

Very good race! Lewis overcame more bad luck & out drove Nico. Loved the battle in the mid pack, great battles. Ricciardo is the real deal, man can he race. Oh how I loved his pass of Vettel. :D

Seriously....enough of the Lewis bashing. Why not just stick to supporting a driver.

    GO LEWIS!

Mark, when it's all said and done, I think Hamilton is gonna catch him. We'll see. but Hamilton's done it once, the pressure of F1 is ginormous (and Rosberg folded to it today), and all things being equal I'm betting on Hamilton's experience to be the difference.

On another note, Lauda has said they're working on a new contract for Hamilton, I don't think he'll be leaving Mercedes anytime soon.

On another another note, I applaud your passion, wether I agree or disagree with it isn't important. If more people had an opinion on F1, it wouldn't languish so much in the U.S.
