Best racing I saw today was the delayed broadcast of the Continental Tire ST race!! Went to the wire with a Porsche Cayman, a BMW and a Miata fighting nose to tail, and swapping the positions for the win! They finished in the order I listed!!

I know those guys had fun!

I watched that race also today. That Cayman just had the top end power to drive around them in the straights.

    That was some great racing.

This is exactly what grates my arse about Ms Hamilton, has a great drive all things considered and then acts like a prick on the podium... Would not be a loss to racing as a whole if he never won another race... Rosberg is a better driver and human being.

One must first finish races to win the Championship.... Lewis is a good driver, just.not as wonderful as he thinks he is...even Senna, Schumacher and Stewart could exercise humility at times.[emoji6]

But with those skinny tires they'll need all the down force they can get. :D

Maybe not anybody, but at least 3 or 4 of the top drivers.

Lewis is not Seb, and Seb wasn't getting beaten by his teammate (in at least an equal car) like Nico is Lewis.

Barring a castrophic event, the only thing that will help Lewis beat Nico for the Championship is Niki Lauda.

Long way to go, I'm thinking it's pretty much 50-50 who will win.

I think I know where Mark Webber's engineers went. But I'm looking forward to another Ferrari / Merc battle, but at the back of the grid this time.

I appreciate that Hammy is having a challenging year, but his comment "another easy one for Nico" just rings of his poor sportsmanship this year. And he can spin it anyway he wants, but it stills sounds like a whiny little brat.

Nico also said something that I'm sure didn't win him any fans in the paddock, when he was trying to say that he wished Hammy and him could have gone at it again during this race - like Lewis is the only one that can give him a race. It's as if he's completely dissing the rest of the field. Yes, he has good reason too, but still..........If I were Seb, Bottas, Ricky Racer or any number of other drivers, I'd be looking for a way to stick a knife in one of his tires mid-race.

I wonder how many of the drivers have already hit their "fives"?

Nico wasn't knocking the whole field, he was merely doing what Championship contenders have done since the beginning, he was giving his number one rival a poke to get in his head and see if it rattles..... [emoji41]

Now that was an F-1 race! I just hope Bernie's double points doesn't ruin the year end race.

Man that was the best race I've seen in a long time. Some great battles going on throughout the whole race. :D

....so why was Nico complaining to the team that Lewis wouldn't move over when he couldn't get even close enough to try and pass LMAO!!! And Lewis even said if Nico got close enough we would move over.....

This was by far the best and most competitive race of the season, and there were many drivers that did well today!!

If this was a harbinger of what is to come in the second half of the season, 2014 may very well rescue itself...can't wait!!

Great big HD flat screens and pretty darn good TV coverage make ticket prices at all sporting events less and less palatable these days...... Then throw in the fact that races used to be put on for the fans at the track and now fans are treated as little more than TV props and physically going to a race gets less appealing....

You have to remember that corporations sponsor teams to get their advertising on the cars shown to the public, so smaller TV viewer numbers mean less sponsorship money. Even Bernie knows that killing the goose can cause a golden egg shortfall.

Here in Britain, Sky has a dedicated premium F1 channel but all races are broadcast on free-to-view* BBC to get the maximum total viewers, though for many races there is a time delay of several hours.

    * Free-to-view in Britain still costs money, but you don't want those details as you would be learning about socialism....
