I believe they both have also complained about the amount of request for data/button pushing that has come from the pit wall.

Nico & Lewis, Lewis & Nico complaining about what the other does. Next they will complain who has the best code talker on pit wall.

I agree, let the driver's drive the cars & figure things out on their own. It's all Marconi's fault!

Practice 1 is not on the tele, just practice 2, quali & the race. I think practice 1 was steamed live.

Yep with Lewis and Nico turning almost identical times, Red Bull catching up and possibly their own little drivers duel brewing, then Alonso showing speed this week end......this could be a great race indeed!! [emoji41]

I think it is going to be one hell of a start & a good race.

When Ricciardo flashed P1 on scoring I cheered like many who were there. Quite a lot of action in the last minute. I was sure Lewis had shot himself in the foot with his last lap lockup. Damn near did, 7 thousandths of a second Wow!

Re: Alonso - Martin Brundle mentioned that Charlie Whiting was planning on going easy on any first turn lapses. I think the reason was that he would rather people run off than crash and stop the race.

That seems fair to me, especially since Alonso did give up the spot.

Seb did NOT get the position back with driving. Alonso slowed and gave it back to him. Listen to the post race interviews.....

And like I said, there is no penalty if you go off from a driving mistake. If you go off track consistently at a corner you will be penalized. That is exceeding the track limits while RACING.

I agree if there is room to put there a car any racer worth their salt will use it. The paved runoffs are there for safety & that's good, but keeping drivers off them seems an impossible task.

Are there crocodiles in those moats? :ihih:

Maybe they will again be the team to beat as in the Senna/Prost years.

Changing the cars colors to orange and white probably wouldn't hurt

    either.

In all honesty, and me thinks Alonso to be the best, their relationship has not produced a championship for whatever the reasons. So it may be best for both to move on....

.....but I would still love to see Alonso being crowned Champion in Ferrari red.

Alonso is a great driver & IMO the best currently on the grid. He has carried his Ferrari farther up the grid than one would think possible. I hope he can land a competitive ride. He deserves much better than what Ferrari is giving him.

Talking about "DNA" sounds so much better than saying "I am averse to change, like everyone else my age".

I agree, most of F1were single car teams thruout the history of the sport, with many teams buying cars and tech from other teams or mfrs.

Some people will say that a single car team can't win it all, but I'm not so sure.....

Simply make only full season teams/cars eligible for Championship points, manufacturer and driver...

I imagine it's unlikely but there's a possibility the race will be run early. Depends on where the typhoon goes, and when.
