In case the units don't mean anything to some people, 3 MW is 4,000 hp - so this isn't a little electric motor!

I agree better than either of those 2 movies. If you can catch it do so, it's a good one.

I agree, but all Hamilton really needs to do is keep smiling. I expect he'll out qualify and win more races through the rest of the season anyway and that's the sort of revenge he'll most enjoy anyway.

The reason Lauda got on him isn't just because of his attitude at Monaco, it just got worse there and very much in public. And I think Hamilton's attitude after the race was mostly because he went into it hoping to humiliate Rosberg in Monaco, specifically, after making a big deal about how Rosberg grew up in Monaco and had a privileged life there.

Agreed. Nice to see a new mix on the podium.

Still amazed that Seb didn't get collected on that last lap. A bit of luck finally going their way.

Like to see more of that sort of action in F1.

All things considered, I guess I don't need to worry about spoilers. So...

Massa and Perez were both taken to the hospital to be checked out -- esp. fitting given the number of Gs absorbed there plus Perez' significant concussion at Monaco (I think?) and Massa's history -- and both were released.

Here's the story, IMO. Perez was handed a 5-place grid penalty for the next race for causing the incident. Thoughts? I'm gonna go back to the DVR and look at it again a few times.

Stewards said of the penalty against Perez:
Look at the very short video in this article (scroll down to find it) and tell me what you see.

I do see Perez changing his line and moving left but it also looks to me like Massa turns even more drastically to the right, directly into Perez.

From what I saw watching the race I couldn't put the blame on Perez. But just now watching that helicopter shot Perez sure turns off line to throw the block it appears. Massa had a whole lap to get that pass, there was a high percentage it wasn't going to work. That being said I think both driver's caused this one.

Glad both are OK, that was a hard hit for both driver's. Bet Vettel was surprised to see Massa cross his bow within an inch or so. Yikes!

I assume most have heard that Adrian Newey signed a new contract with RB that will remove him from the role he now plays.

Restrictive F1 rules fuelled Adrian Newey's decision to step down (sutosport.com)

Yeah, I saw Martin Brundle interview him briefly during his Grid walk, but the articles I saw were a bit less specific. So he's leaving but not leaving Red Bull and working and not working on F1.

    .... mmmkay....

Apparently the plan is to give him broader responsibility in Red Bull's various racing activities and maybe let him try his hand in the design of something else, maybe even something without wheels like racing yachts. Speculation is they gave him huge $ along with the contract in order to keep him from becoming available to competitors with deep pockets.

It will be announced tomorrow that Newey will be assisting in the design of Sir Ben Ainslie's AC62 for the America's Cup event in 2017.
