Personally I think if someone goes 4 wheels off because of good hard racing great. I like good hard charging racing, not a processional parade. These cars & drivers can pass & that is a good thing in my mind. We are seeing some great racing this year, even though they are racing F1 Prius's.
Slightly off topic, IndyCar. Remember when Zanardi passed Herta 4 wheels off in the corkscrew to win race on the last lap. Oh boy great stuff, everyone loved it, except Herta.![]()

If they don't want cars to all 4 off then stop paving all the run offs. Half a car width then a moat. That would solve the problem.
Not to mention how cool it would be to watch the cars jump the moat.:cornut: -

The Caterham Formula One team could be left stranded without tires at the Japanese Grand Prix, according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
The report said a source close to F1's official tire supplier has claimed that Pirelli is warning Caterham it must make a payment ahead of the Suzuka race on Oct. 5.
Backmarker Caterham almost collapsed midseason following the withdrawal of support of team founder Tony Fernandes, who sold the team to a group of Swiss-based Middle Easterners.
"I believe our team was not set up to race in Silverstone," one of the new bosses, Manfredi Ravetto, confirmed in Singapore. "This is the truth. Since new ownership came on board, I think we managed not only to race in Silverstone but also to arrive to Singapore. I must say it's not a very easy task.
"The financial situation is not one of the easiest. We inherited a situation which was more than critical."
It is rumored the situation was so critical that Christijan Albers, who became Caterham's team boss after the takeover, quit once he realized that debts could not be paid.
De Telegraaf claims Pirelli is one of the main creditors of ailing Caterham.

BIG rumor going around today that Honda has bought out Alonso's contract and he'll be in the Mac next season. Pretty reliable source too......
-
On Sunday the SKY F1 folk were speculating Alonso at Mac in 2016.

So question is; will both M-B's have a "contaminate" free race in Japan?

Doesn't look good for Caterham. So much for the new "investors".

What does MA think about 3 cars per team. Ignore that it is too short of notice to do or some teams might not have the money for it.
Is it a good idea? Will it improve the show? Will it help F1? -
And yes, even a Caterham would be wicked fast. -
I'd rather they go the customer car route temporarily. It could bring in more teams, and allow a future great to get their start, like some other teams I could mention. *coughWILLIAMScough*
My ideal:
Customer cars for a few seasons, maybe five tops.
A less restricted formula that allows engine development throughout with greater aerodynamic freedom
Maybe get rid of some of the less entertaining tracks by bringing back some of the old classics, or if that's not an option make some changes to the tracks.
No DRS.
For England and other countries, put it back on the BBC and other non-pay stations.
Finally, for American audiences, Indianapolis. We equate Indy with racing, wether we're into motorsports or not. There should be a race there. -

More moving chicanes. Yep that's what is needed, F1 jam cars will add to the enjoyment. Maybe Bernice should just the run the GP2 race at the back of the F1 grid. Or better yet put them at the front of the grid.
