BIG take-aways for me from that article.
1 - Bernie sees a farce?!?! Hey, Bernie, this is testing. Have you forgotten what it was like centuries ago when you were actually involved in the sport you now consider just a show and money-making venture? This is what happens when you make huge changes to the formula, stepped up a few notches by forcing bleeding-edge tech into the mix.
2 - Massa's comment about how the different engines come with very different character...this pleases me greatly! :yesnod:

They only get it if they put a little blue diamond button on the steering wheel.

Thought this was interesting. Strange to see such different controls from the same team.

Also, boo-freaking-hoo! If anyone else had made the observation that Mercedes (or any other team) would dominate I wouldn't care. The fact that it's coming from the reigning world champions 4 times in a row just rubs me the wrong way.
Besides, lapping the field was not an uncommon thing back in the day.-

CNN's endorsement probably included a "please don't make us look any worse" clause.

The new rules say the leading edge of the nose, that must be structural and has to survive the crash tests, must be low. Don't remember how low, but they dropped it significantly this year.
The aerodynamicists' challenge is to figure out how to save the open space below the nose structure and chassis yet still create a low nose tip that can pass the crash tests.
Ferrari and Merc designed noses that drop significantly from the front of the bulkhead. The rest designed noses that cut off fairly high so they're not in the way of the air and added structural "probes" that don't impede the air...as much.
Jean Todt says the FIA will look into a rule change because most of the teams followed the letter of the rule but didn't satisfy the intent, which was to improve safety by lowering the front of the cars so they'll be less likely to spear or ride up another car and hit the driver in the head in a collision. My guess is Ferrari and Merc are the only teams that came near the intent of the nose height rule.-
