We all know teams have good years and bad, but I don't think it's ever been this bad for a wold champion team and driver before. I hope they can at least be competitive this year.
I said it months ago. Big changes mean you need lots of testing. They should have added at least one more test and extended the homologation deadline until the last day of that last test. From the state of things, even that might have not been enough for the Renault engined teams. They're all now working frantically to ready for the first race and Fri practice in Melbourne will tell us much more than we know now. I was going to say they should add at least an extra day, start in Melbourne on Thu, but that's not the sort of testing they need. It would help, of course, but what they really need is another proper test with enough post-test time to go back to the factories for another round of fixes/changes before the first race.
Thought this was interesting. Strange to see such different controls from the same team. [ame=http://youtu.be/0c1oYUhxkQI]Hamilton-Rosberg steering wheel comparison - YouTube[/ame]
I understand Red Bull being behind from working on last year's car so late in the season. We seen that before with other teams. But Renault doesn't have the same excuse. They were the first to show pics of their engine and had all the fancy graphics. They should have been testing the engine instead.
Williams say they will reveal their new Martini livery Mar 6th. In the meantime, there are a bunch of concept liveries out there. This is my favorite so far.
The Romanian-backed effort has tact approval from the gov't there. hard to compete with those kinds of deep pockets.

I would love to see Williams take it this year! They were my team, with Nige, back when I started watching.
I remember the first time I saw the GTP cars in person. I couldn't believe how small they actually were. You get no real scale from watching them on TV. Had a chance to sit in the GTP-Lights car of local driver Parker Johnstone a couple of years back and I almost didn't fit in it......but I made myself fit!
