Kimi Raikkonen says 2015 is likely to be his last year in F1. I guess the mid-2015 silly season can start a bit early..... I read Kimi said he would like to try rallycross. His one complaint about WRC was not being able to race anyone directly. Rallycross would definitely solve that problem.
Good weather will make for an interesting start with the back markers in front of the Ferrari and Williams boys. I am also looking forward to see how Hami reacts to his starting position.
You are right there are fast cars staring in the rear. Should be interesting. Hoping foor a safe cracking start. :fingerscrossed:
Start was about what I was expecting. Glad there wasn't any serious injuries. Thought it was a great race. Really impressed with Bottas! Really enjoyed Hobbs' comments during the duel for 5th place.
Very good race for sure. Glad Kimi escaped intact. Seems Kimi may have been practicing rally cross moves. He should send Massa a thank you card for not spearing him dead center. Heads up on Massa's part.
Good to know how many people were "flying" instead of racing! Sheesh, is there any way to get "Lee Daffey" to shut up? I was flipping thru channels the other day and he was calling a tennis match, then another time I heard him calling another racing event (Indycars in Texas I think), and to my surprise there was another familiar voice with him - Steve Matchett! - calling an Indy car race????? I mean, sure there's a certain amount of technical similarity, but..... They went on and on about how much faster Hammy was, but he was losing time to Rosbug till his tranny started going south. However, being 40+ seconds clear of the field at the end does say something about this year's championship hopes for the rest of the cars....... Anyone else think Kimi might be looking for other employment next season, or even next week? Mattiacci said this week that heads were gonna roll....I know he was talking about the engineering staff, but.......
I was glad to see Hamilton win, that being said had Nico not had his problems it would have been tough for Hamilton to catch let alone pass Nico. Luck swings both ways, this time it was in Hamilton's favor. Stay tuned, so far it has been a great season. As far as the broadcast team goes I think they did a good job. No problems with any of them.
It was good to see Hamilton win in front of the home crowd. Of all the close races this season, I would have loved to seen this one go one more lap so Jenson could have caught Ricciardo and got on the podium. Next race I will be rooting for an all German podium.... Rosberg Hulkenburg Sutil
I thought it was an entertaining race regardless of the dominant win. Alonso and Vettel going at it was superb and both of them whining about the other's tactics over the radio was icing on the cake. Alonso might have been fighting for that third spot on the podium if it wasn't for the brain fart and subsequent stop and go penalty. Awesome driving. I was rooting for Button to catch Ricciardo at the end but it wasn't meant to be.
