Audi is going to be using some F1 tech in their cars. An electric motor to spin up the turbo at low rpm. Then generate juice at higher rpm.

Given the virtual sign over Caterham's door says "under new management" it's not surprising to see things being shaken up a bit. Feel sorry for Kamui, though.

    Lotterer confirmed at Caterham (crash.net)

I think Red Bull's going to have tough going on this one. They aren't too great on the high speed tracks. I'm hoping for a Merc / Williams fight at the front, with Alonso's frustration providing the extra horsepower he needs to get a podium (slim chance, I know).

    Ferarri, fueled by RAGE! ;)

For some reason my U-Verse DVR will not record the season of F1 events on CNBC. I'm starting to wonder if they are uniquely tagged because it seems like each race I have to go set it up to record again for any of it that is on CNBC (no issues with NBCSN).

Don't have U-Verse, but I have the same issue with my Time Warner DVR. Makes me have to stay on my toes not to miss any racing.

    Steve's reminders really help.

Anytime anything is on CNBC I have to make sure it is set up to record. Can't seem to get it to record any kind of series either. Must be some kind of tagging issue.

Marussia HAS scored point this year at least, you have to give them that - has Sauber?

Marussia has 2 points so far (Jules Bianchi at Monaco). Sauber has none.

Yes Marussia have points, good on them for that. Their cars are still moving chicanes. Bet they change the mirrors out after every session, I'm sure the drivers are wearing them out through maximum use.

Well, spa was a real corker of a race, wasn't it?

And now sparks are flying between the Mercedes team principals, drivers and members - and it's a doosey depending on whom you believe!

Nico publically says it was just one 'o them racin deals.....

Management says apparently the boys did not understand them when they said they could race each other as long as they followed rule #1 - don't take each other out - do not hit each other..... and that now measures will be taken......

Lewis says it's like school all over again, where the teachers say they're going to do something about it but then don't.

Now Lewis is saying that Nico says he hit him on purpose just to make a point, that he (Nico) was still extremely pissed about what happened in Hungary, even tho they'd had a meeting right after the race to clear the air.....and that he (Nico) was angry enough to do something about it.

All of which makes it mathematically possible for Smilin Dan to still be a contender to win the driver's championship! and wouldn't THAT be something?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Whadya think? will the Mercedes boys get taken to the woodshed? will they kiss and make up? Or will the team self destruct in the last 7 races and hand the championship to Danny boy?

Do you think Nico hit Lewis on purpose in retaliation for not following team orders, or did he have a run on Lewis and thought he could take him, then have to tuck back in at the last moment? Would he hit him on purpose knowing that it could damage his car too - which it did?

What are the tires on the Red Bull made of that Alonso could drive into the back of Vettel, bust HIS wing to bits, and Vettel didn't suffer a scratch?

And who will Lewis be driving for next season, with Nico already signed, it doesn't seem likely that he'll be at Mercedes again. Back to McLaren?

    Enquiring minds want to know!

Very entertaining race. I expected the gloves to have come off between the Benz boys, but I figured it would have been towards the end of the race not on lap 2. To my way of seeing things it was Nico pushing on Lewis a bit & Lewis saying heck take this as he carved over in front of Nico. To my eye it was a 50/50 deal & both were a bit stupid. Lewis' stupid cost him more. Not sure what the Benz team can do to put out the fire that is raging in their team. Maybe a group retreat where they all hold hands & sing Kumbaya?

Man I'm digging Daniel winning races, good on him, he's proven he is the real deal.

Loved the close racing at the end in mid pack, great stuff.
