Placed an order today for a JCW Countryman. Estimated delivery is around the end of September. This will replace our 2011 S Conv. We're looking forward to adding this car to our fleet.
Congrats on the new MINI, as you probably know the hard part now in the waiting and anticipation. However, your patience shall be rewarded.
congrats! I placed an order for a JCW Paceman about 2 weeks ago. Has your order been affected by the 2 week summer shutdown?
You know its a cool car when it can replace 2 cars!.....:cornut: Welcome to the coolest MINI forum on the net......
We picked up our 2013 CM JCW last Friday, so the anticipation of getting the car is fresh in my mind. We got our car exactly 6 weeks from placing the order at the dealer. If you dodged the shutdown maybe you will get lucky as well. The break-in period is killing us....driving as much as we can to get past the 1200 mile mark. We are past the 300 mile break-in for the clutch and brakes though, and we had "Checkers" down in the Hocking hills area this past Sunday running RT 374 and 180. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with the JCW in stock form. with the 300 miles behind us I can now heel/toe with abandon, just having to short shift to stay under 4500 which keeps the turbo from staying spooled up where I want it through the twisty stuff :cryin:, but the car is tight...for a 3000+ lb beast it handles really well.' In SPORT mode, the steering is noticeably tighter-less play, and very heavy....you have to really work the wheel in this car which is just a fantastic feeling....not a lot of assist. the A4 really gets the rear end to rotate. driving all 4 wheels all the time really helps push the rear around the corners when I'm carrying some speed. The system does inspire confidence, and NO torque steer when firing off the line...nice.... Also, I like the RF tires better than I thought. They are Pirelli P-Zeros, so they are no slouch(however, we will be putting Michelin Super Sports on when this tread wears out). it was hard to make them chirp, they stuck pretty well. the 19" wheels really hold the chassis up well in corners-I was impressed by the lack of excessive body roll.....I just ordered a 22mm rear anti-sway bar though, just to give it an added shot of neutrality ! We are having a ball with this car and I think you will too! Jeff
Ordered placed 7/20, no production date yet though. I haven't been this excited about ordering a car since I ordered a 2005 Corvette. I am really looking forward to this (yet un-named) car.
my jcw paceman was ordered on the 15th...i got a july production slot however i guess because the factory was going to shut down for two weeks mine is sitting in 112 status which means it is in the daily pot but with no production date yet
