Thanks for the sympathy. I loved the Clubbie. And yes with all the damage it was a total write off.
Insurance is fully covering the cost of a 2014 F56 S in Thunder grey with a good pile of options. Lesson to be learned here is to have vehicle replacement endorsement. While it may cost 1500 over 5 years, in this case at least it makes losing an automotive friend a lot easier to take.
Why not another Clubbie? Too hard to find a fully loaded (except for nav and leather) manual 2014 model. Besides, like my friend (and Paceman owner) Tata Steve says, "Too many MINIs, too little time." Maybe having a new model will be fun.
