Thursday at MOTD was the Exhaust Shoot Out. I was in registration while it was going on and remembered as I closed up the registration, walked outside and heard the event going on. Said to myself, "Oh yeah, I'm supposed to go to that." Hopped in the MINI and cruised down the hill. They were just about to announce the winner when I rolled in. Pulled into the puddle of water, turned off the DSC this year and dropped the clutch at about 4K RPM. Left it in first and bounced off the rev limiter. Came back around and they wanted me to go again. This time I shifted to second and still spun the tires the whole time. Yeah, I won. :devil: The prize is that mega exhaust tip you see at the top of the page. I've dropped it off at my favorite metal shop to have them create a stand for it to make a proper trophy for display.
RMW Race Header into Random Technology cat. Then a blown out 18" resonator. From there the 2.5" pipe is split into two 2.25" pipes that each have a blown out 12" resonator terminating with Thermal brand Exhaust Tips.
It was once said that Nathan's exhaust isn't that loud, but when he drove past a cemetery we saw heads pop up out of the ground
I missed this event because I was running the Foothills Parkway because they had no cops / Feds on it all week. :ihih::devil: I was also running the Dragon and when I got back they told me I missed it. Oh well next year.
It went something like: "That was fun, guys. Who do you think won?" <Chatter> "Wasn't Nathan supposed to be here? He would have won if he'd come." "He likes to be fashionably late. Give him a second." The last part of that sentence was drowned out by Nathan leaving Reg Hall, of course.
They were trying to pick the top 3 for a run off. Then Nathan shows up and makes his run. The question was do we need a run off? Unanimous NO. But lets have him run again for fun. It was painful fun if you were too close. Congrats Nathan MoM never had any doubts. Bring it to donuts to show off.
My question is: if it was an exhaust sound-off, why did that parking lot reek of toasty clutch?! (Yeah there were a couple of 'burnouts' that weren't tires smokin')
