    The BBC commentary reported that Jenson Button tweeted soon after the start of the race that Kimi was the man to watch and he (Kimi) did do rather well. Curious that as a pitlane viewer, Jenson could work that out.

    This was just what Nico needed, the whole weekend was good for him, now he'll have great momentum for Monaco - his home race.

    The poor Reds Bull......definitely not going to be their year, Vettel jumped just in time - who'd a thunk it?

    And while Vettel is clearly the best of the rest, they are just not as fast as the boys in silver/green. Not this year anyway. But they're both so much improved from last year that it has to be heartening.

    What's up with the Toro Rosso's? They qualify great, then just sort of drift backwards.....wonder why?

    Nico just drove away from the field in the opening stint, kinda like Vettel used to do...and it was fun seeing the Hamster have the same problem Nico did when he was stuck behind Vettel, can't get close enough to pass.....

    Strategy worked for the Benzer boys this weekend, and not for the boys in the red jammies.

    I don't know if you all read the press conference notes from the last race, but at one point after being asked about 5 questions in a row (and ignoring the other guys on the podium) Vettel apologized to the other drivers - saying these (reporters) hadn't asked him one question in the last four years, it just comes with the red suit he guessed - pretty funny!

    You got to give him credit. Even after the wack he was still doing his job.

    At least Alonzo's jack man saw him coming and jumped out of the way.

    Lewis did seem pretty concerned about re-hydrating on the podium.

    Next race will be interesting if both Mercs aren't in the front row after quali.

    I just read that the "rules" teams approved a wider choice of compounds for next year. Could that mean that all 4 compounds are brought to the track and the teams have to use at least 2. That could make it interesting.

    So, Monaco, here we go.

    Jenson Button said it's so difficult to overtake that "Saturday is probably more important than Sunday." Given the sort of controversial events we see sometimes during Monaco qualifying (and, as far as I recall, only at Monaco) I'd say he's not alone in this opinion.
