I think it was from this morning. Found it in the Sky Sports Twitter feed.

Watching Sky on and off since FP3 has been a hoot. They have been live all day.

Or, find the Sky Sports stream and enjoy a commercial free viewing opportunity with proper Brit accented presenters.

Quali wasn't listed on the channel guide for CNBC, but it was what was on at 10:00.

I guess we are lucky here. No problems with F1 coverage. I programmed in the infomercial on CNBC at 10:00 & added 2 hours to spare so I would catch it all.

I agree the Red Bulls seemed to be on a full wet setup. If only it had stayed wet. It sure wasn't the engine that put them in the front.

Congrats to Lewis. He's a great champion. Oh, and Hobbs is and always has been a useless commentator. Great racer, poor commentator.

That's a bit like saying "I walked into the theater during the final 5 minutes of the movie and they were rolling the credits --- it looked just like the end of every other movie."

It would be nice to somehow factor out the advantage of clean air that the leader has.

Maybe they should toss a coin after qualifying is complete to decide to invert the field or not. Also give points from qualifying results and fastest lap.

The BTCC has a three race weekend..........qually determines race starts for the first race, fastest lap determines the second race, and the third race is an inverted start based on a random drawing. Some combination would be fun to see AND add points for pole and fast laps.

Man I love the BTCC. Hard close racing at its best. WTCC is good too. I think trying to place 10th for the inverted grid in race 2 may be harder than going for the pole for race 1.

Here's an interesting story about a brief period when Ferrari raced in F1 in blue and white rather than red. Enzo threw a tantrum and briefly abandoned the Ferrari red livery (though at the time he claimed it was for good).

Do you remember...when Ferrari raced in blue

Yeah, I heard they gave free Sunday Tix to anyone who bought a Sat ticket and was locked out.

Still props to them for managing to get the race run at all, let alone on time.

Next year it will be nicer weather......

I expect the combo of the rain and the Mexican race one week later kept the Mexican fans home, for their own race. Still, Mexico city is a long way from Austin.....

    Hamilton in hat rejection dejection

Newly crowned world champion Lewis Hamilton has been left ‘distraught’ and ‘unable to enjoy his new title’ after Nico Rosberg rejected his gift of a ‘best team mate ever’ cap.

‘Lewis really wanted to get Nico a present and noticed that he often wears caps,’ said a source close to the British driver. ‘So when it was all rainy in Austin the other day, he made a special trip to the shops to get him a cap embroidered with the message ‘Best teammate ever!!!’ and then a smiley face. He didn’t have to do that. He could have done something he really enjoys like going to a piano store with Jay Z or looking at gold jewellery with Rihanna or zooming about on a jet ski with a dog, but he thought it was important to buy Nico something nice.’

Insiders say Hamilton arranged for Paddy Lowe to sneak the cap into the drivers’ cool down room so that he could present it to Rosberg after the race. ‘Lewis didn’t want to make a big fuss so he just casually tossed the cap to Nico,’ our insider revealed. ‘Unfortunately, Nico didn’t even look at it and just threw it back. Lewis was really upset.’

Team insiders say Hamilton is ‘inconsolable’ about the thoughtfully purchased cap rejection and is currently undecided about what to do with the specially-made ‘Best second-best Mercedes driver in the world!!!’ T-shirt.
