Looks like another year like last year. The front of the race boring everything behind that is interesting. At least the TV coverage didn't just stay on the front running cars.
Sad state of affairs for McLaren and Red Bull

What's up with the absence of F1 Countdown? :mad2: I was looking forward to the 30 minute pre-race recap of the offseason, tech changes, expectations for the new year, yada yada. Just the usual Matchett, Hobbs, Diffey, & Buxton banter & BS. I didn't see a separate program on my cable guide either: just the 2.5 hour race broadcast.

On the other hand, though Horner is pushing for changes, the quote below is Helmut Marko speaking so it should be taken with a large grain of salt...

Now I don't think there should have been any changes before this season started. It's only been one year with the new spec. But if Merc has total domination again this year I'll be expecting some adjustments.
On a side note. If the Renault is so bad that they can't fix it without starting over. Then RB doing their own engine would allow them to do that. -

Rosberg took to Twitter to extend the invitation on Tuesday having initially suggested Vettel should pay the world champions a visit after they dominated the Australian GP in Melbourne.
“I spoke to Toto and Paddy about an invitation for Sebastian and they are easy with it,” Rosberg tweeted, referring to team bosses Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe. -

Bottas still isn't certain for Malaysia. Since Susie Wolff is an option there's even a chance we'll see her on the grid. Odds are it'll be Bottas.

I've always liked a wet race, it lets the drivers talent shine more than their equipment.
Jules Bianchi’s crash does make one think about high speed racing in the rain, but crashes do happen & to my mind the largest component in Jules crash was the track side crane. I hope FIA doesn't do something stupid like stop the race or parade around behind a safety car be it real or virtual if it rains.
