I have no preference over who wins, my preference is that there is a real race for the win. Me thinks it will be a good year & may the best driver & team win.
This was the first F1 race I've watched flag to flag in I can't remember how many years. Real difference in the product when P1 - P4 aren't known when they line up at the starting grid.
I'm jazzed just to see a real Ferrari / Mercedes title fight. It's the first time since 1955. What kills me though is that the Ferrari is faster in a straight line than the Merc. That's the exact opposite of how Seb won his championships. The RBs were quick in corners, slow (comparatively) in straights.
Well if you take out the blown diffuser, traction control and other aero it will slow the car in the corners...........
He wasn't talking about losing in the racing sense but it still applies, clearly. "Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can't lose." ~Bill Gates
3,2,1..... From motorsports: Former Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo believes the team's former management deserves credit for Sebastian Vettel's victory in the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Maranello squad changed team principal twice during 2014, while di Montezemolo was replaced as Ferrari president in September. Team principal Stefano Domenicali left in April, while his replacement, Marco Mattiacci, stepped down in November and was replaced by Maurizio Arrivabene. Vettel ended Ferrari's victory drought on Sunday at Sepang, giving the team its first win since 2013. Di Montezemolo believes the victory is, in part, the result of the decisions made early last year. "This is the reward for hard work. It began on this car in Maranello in February 2014, and was then picked up by those who run the Scuderia now," di Montezemolo told Italian media. "This victory is perhaps also due to some small errors by Mercedes, but also to all those who planned the car and engine last year." The Italian, now Alitalia's president, admits he was surprised Ferrari was able to win again so soon. "I am very happy," he said. "I did not expect that the team would win so quickly."
Come on, Bernie is trying to get himself surrounded by young girls. Who wouldn't want that?:cornut:
So they're running the worst performing chassis AND the worst performing engine to showcase their technological might? Looks like HAAS made a good move linking up with Ferrari after all.
I asked earlier which RB driver would be stuck with the Infiniti 'ambassador' bit, or whatever they call him. Now we know. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSAD-nrZo6c"]Infiniti Q50 Test Drive - Guaranteed to surprise - YouTube[/ame]
I'm not sure if that is better than a Renault. I used to have a Renault Alliance and I think I'd pick it over the Infiniti.
