If Honda had prior F1 experience, it might not be taking so long for them to get the engine properly on song  This is just unbelievable.....I have not really been a McLaren fan since Senna left, but I really want the days of them battling for the top spot to return. If for no other reason, simply the name Bruce McLaren....
Some of these replies are awesomely funny... Name two things you think Ron Dennis has in his desk drawer. Question of the week – 29/06/15 « Sniff Petrol
ha, I did put the smiling devil emoticon with that statement....I have been around the block a time or two in the world of F1....longer than I want to admit-about 25 years or so...right about the time the greatest there ever was, Senna, was making his rise.... I get that the technology is nothing like it was when they left the sport, but they have continued to build racing engines.... a bunch of them. It just seems to me that if you already know how to build compact, high performance engines, you just get up to speed on the new components/technology and go.....it's a terrible and sad thing to watch...
If it takes Honda a long while to get a power plant right, you can tell it's difficult. There's not much anyone can teach them about the design of the internal combustion engine - and looking at Mugen's development of the electric race bike at the Isle of Man, they aren't that short on electric motor technology, either. All credit to Ilmor (sorry, 'Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains') for getting it right first time.
both very good points. heck, they were doing combustion-electric hybrid passenger cars, what, 15 years ago when the Insight was introduced? I would think they could have nailed F1 hybrid technology fairly quickly.....baffling.
 I honestly feel sorry for the guy but that line cracks me up! Not yet tamed by the F1 PR machine. Magnussen: F1 on a simulator is like watching porn – not the real thing (grandprix247.com)
Thinking about it, these changes will have almost zero practical effect. The embarrassing carry-over penalties are gone for those who can't move back enough spaces on the grid, that's good, but the rules are otherwise unchanged and the penalties themselves will only increase in number as the season goes on. Honda drivers get another engine each...how much will that help, really? WMSC ratifies engine-related changes (gpupdate.net)
I think it's funny that they have to note the USA race is at Austin, like that New Jersey Race is ever gonna happen!
